AP World History: Modern, Part 1 explores world history from 1200 to 1750. Topics include East Asian development, the Middle East, the Muslim world, South and Southeast Asia, the Americas, Africa, Europe, the Silk Roads, the Mongols, early global trade, empires, the evolution of European societies, and transoceanic interconnections. Students will practice writing essays and answering questions on topics related to world history. This is the first course in a two-part series that prepares students to take the AP World History: Modern exam.
