This course is specifically designed for credit recovery purposes and is intended for students who have previously attempted and failed the corresponding course.
This course is the study of the Earth's surface and what's below it—all the way to the core. Students will begin to explore Earth by studying the formation of the universe and how our glorious blue rock became home; then they will dive into the nature of the stars and how they form the building blocks of the planet. From there, students will journey through the development of Earth and see how past events can help scientists understand the present. This is the first course in a two-part Earth Science series.
