Geography Course Spotlight (High School)

Did you know that Marovo Lagoon in the Solomon Islands is the largest saltwater lagoon in the world? The lagoon is formed between two islands, protected by two barrier reefs, and has some of the best snorkeling opportunities in the world, with chances to see sunken WWII planes. 

Did you know that one-third of the world’s tropical rain forests are located in Brazil? Tropical rain forests only cover about seven percent of the earth’s surface, but nearly half of the world’s species of plants and animals live in them. 

In this course, you will earn required high school Geography course credit as you learn about the world around you. If you want to know more about the wonders of the world, or if you aspire to be a nature lover and conservationist, a world traveler, or a history buff, Geography 041 will keep you engaged.
